HIGHLAND BEEF FARMS, a family owned company for over 50 years, prides itself on personalized customer service. We are here to serve your needs every day, M-F from 9:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M. EST. HIGHLAND BEEF FARMS expects to ship orders received by 1:00 P.M. EST two business days from receipt, unless special shipping requirements are needed which may extend the ship date (see Severe Weather statement). After your order has been placed, processed and approved, product will ship with a carrier of our choosing to get your order to you expeditiously via common carrier freight, refrigerated or UPS small package.

SHIPPING PROCEDURES

If you require products delivered by a certain date, please call our Customer Service Department to verify product availability.

For business and institutional deliveries, the trucking companies will assume your business is open and staffed to receive deliveries Monday-Friday during normal business hours. Please contact Customer Service for detailed receiving hours for your facility. For delivery appointments, please provide a contact name and phone number. Any and all re-delivery charges incurred will be billed back to the customer.

Freight deliveries are dock to dock, which means the receiving party will have to take the product off of the truck. Truck drivers are not responsible for taking product off the truck. Lift gate and inside delivery services are available at additional cost. Please inquire with our Customer Service Department if you believe you may require lift gate, inside delivery, or sort and segregate service.

DAMAGES

Please be sure to check all packages for any potential damage during transit. It is the sole responsibility of the receiving party to fully inspect the product at the time of delivery for any potential damage. We recommend taking off any pallet protective wrapping to fully inspect the product before the driver leaves.

In addition, please count the product before signing the delivery receipt. If the product is damaged in any way, properly note the damage on the delivery receipt or Bill of Lading.

If damage occurred during transit, it must be noted on the delivery receipt in detail and signed by the driver. HIGHLAND BEEF FARMS is not responsible for damaged products or shortages due to shipping without proper documentation. The delivery receipt should be sent to Highland Beef Farms which will allow us to file a claim with the trucking company. We will replace the product or issue you a credit.

If product is damaged, please call HIGHLAND BEEF FARMS (800-869-6320) immediately to speed up the claims process.

LIMITED ACCESS ISSUES

Freight deliveries will arrive (in most cases) in a full size tractor trailer truck with 18 wheels, such as common long haul trucks you might see on the freeway system. It is the customer’s responsibility to notify HIGHLAND BEEF FARMS at the time of order if your delivery location has potential limited access issues.

Any and all re-delivery charges incurred will be billed back to the customer if delivery is attempted and cannot be completed.

SEVERE WEATHER SHIPPING

HIGHLAND BEEF FARMS may adjust our shipping schedule during times of extreme weather to maintain the integrity of our products. This may extend delivery times, and we ask that you consider this policy when placing your orders. HIGHLAND BEEF FARMS chooses to ship directly from our manufacturing plants rather than a distribution center to ensure you receive the freshest product available.
